Bayshore's Healthy Tomorrows
It used to be that death and taxes were the only sure things in life. Today we can add technological change and the unprecedented pace of that change! The upside is that we are living longer, fuller lives through advanced health care. The downside is that it takes a lot of money to keep current, especially at our small community hospitals here in south-central Ontario.
There is almost no provincial funding for the medical and diagnostic equipment needed to sustain the standard of hospital services we enjoy today and the higher standard we will want tomorrow. Fortunately, there is a way we can ensure that, when our loved ones need emergency care, a new test or lifesaving surgery, our hospital will be ready and able with state-of-the-art resources.
That way has come to be known as “legacy giving.” Once the prerogative of the rich and famous, every month more and more ordinary people are discovering that they, too, can have a lasting impact on their community with a gift or bequest to their local hospital foundation.
Bayshore Broadcasting’s Healthy Tomorrows is simply using the power of radio to raise public awareness of legacy giving and the many ways all of us can leave a legacy for our hospital. For six weeks each spring and fall we air public service announcements on behalf of our hospital foundation partners…now 14 hospitals that serve Bayshore’s radio markets. Together, our goal is well-equipped hospitals capable of delivering the very best in healthcare, today and tomorrow.
