The Owen Sound Attack are in Erie, Pennsylvania tonight and tomorrow for their annual Ontario Hockey League doubleheader against the Otters.
From a divisional standpoint, and from a conference standpoint, these games, for very early in the season, are somewhat pivotal.
Erie played Wednesday night at home to Kitchener as they start to make up a schedule that was top heavy with road games to start the season.
The Attack of course had a stop in St Catharines last night against Niagara before winging their way into Erie.
With the Attack away, that opens up the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Center for the weekend and Owen Sound Minor Hockey has their second of four major tournaments on the season starting today and running through the weekend.
Using both the Coliseum & the J.D. McArthur Arena, the October Fall Classic has 8 teams in Bantam, Peewee and Novice competing through the weekend hoping to gain a berth in the Championship games on Sunday.
The Championship Finals in each division will be Sunday at the Lumley-Bayshore.
The Bantam Final is at 11:30 am.
The Peewee Final is at 12:45 pm.
And the Novice Final is Sunday afternoon at 2.
Have a great weekend.
