Hi, this is Fred Wallace with " Off the Wire ".
The 5th annual Puppy White Tours Vegas Vacation was April 22nd-26th with headquarters again being the fabulous Flamingo Hotel & Casino on the strip.
Before we get to the nuts and bolts of the junket, I should mention 2 marvellous discoveries that took place long before the first roll of the dice & the first wager on sports took place.
1) Hamilton International Airport
& 2) Swoop Airlines.
Being honest, Toronto's Pearson Airport is an ordeal. By comparison, Hamilton was a peaceful, sequential flow.
And Swoop Airlines, was every bit as good as Air Canada.
Now, let's talk sports betting.
Over the course of 4 days, I made 27 bets, lower than other years but only because the schedule for baseball was lighter during 2 of the days we were in Vegas.
My 2019 record was 18 & 9, which is about average.
But, as they explained in the movie " Rounders ", you don't remember youR victories, but rather you recall in detail your " beats ".
Like losing 3 NHL Playoff games in overtime.
Or like betting the Leafs and Boston to score less than 2 goals in the 1st period of Game 7, only to watch 2 Leaf defenders turn the puck over ( for no apparent reasons ) and torch that winning ticket.
Or, the Houston Rockets falling one measly basket shy of beating the spread.
Or.......well, you get the picture of what happened in the 9 losses.
Still 18 & 9 equates to a profit on sports wagering in Nevada, and the bankroll is being manufactured for the 2020 edition of Puppy White Tours to Las Vegas.
