Home & Home

By Fred Wallace

The rubber hits the road starting tonight in the Ontario Hockey League with 4 games, on a busier than normal Wednesday night.

Here in Owen Sound, the Attack open a home & home series with the London Knights at 7 o'clock tonight in the J.D. McArthur Arena.

The rematch will be Friday night back in London.

On the year, London is 3 & 0 against the Attack and Owen Sound needs to reverse that trend in short order, or their season could be kiboshed in short order.

I know there are a number of significant factors that have left Owen Sound clinging for the moment to a playoff spot, leading Guelph by just 4 points for the final playoff spot.

But trust me when I say, the world doesn't want to hear about the labour pains, it only wants to see the baby.

So injuries and suspensions aside, the situation is this; Guelph, with games in hand, also plays tonight, hosting Plymouth and then has another home game Friday against struggling Sarnia which sets up the Guelph visit to Owen Sound on Saturday night for what will be another pivotal contest between the two clubs.

But Owen Sound can't focus on Guelph, not just yet, not with a home and home against London beginning tonight in Owen Sound.
