It's a long way from Christmas but if you listen, you'll hear a segment of the population singing " Let It Snow, Let It Snow. "
That contingent is the Eastside Snowmobile Club as they continue to prepare for the 2010 Tim Hortons Georgian Cup.
There's enough snow already, around 500 truckloads dumped and now groomed by the Canadian Snowcross Racing Association and their groomer yesterday at Victoria Park in Owen Sound.
Now the Eastside folks are singing for more snow in order to heighten the experience, that is, to make sure the competitive course is white as opposed to a dirty shade of white.
And it looks like they'll get their wish.
The entourage of competitors and spectators will begin to arrive tonight and tomorrow.
At 8 am Saturday morning, the singing stops and the roar of the engines and the tuneups and mechanical checks begin in earnest and then Saturday at 9 am, the gates open.
As always, there are 2 full days of competition highlighted by the Tim Hortons Georgian Cup Pro Final which is expected to go Sunday afternoon around 4 pm.
Have a great weekend @ the Tim Hortons Georgian Cup & " Let It Snow ".
