Knights @ Attack

By Fred Wallace

The International Hockey bonanza is now complete, and the Ontario Hockey League gets center stage in Owen Sound tonight as the Attack host the London Knights.

It's been a busy couple of weeks on the international front for a variety of players, including 3 members of the visiting Knights.

In a rarity, last night Philip McRae for the Americans and Nazim Kadri for Canada were on opposite teams battling for the gold medal at the World Junior Hockey Championships.

Just 23 hours later, they're teammates again, and if their plane schedules were agreeable, they'd be unified in trying to stop the Attack's 4 game win streak tonight.

London, who have slid somewhat without these two, losing 2 of their last 3 outings, will also have defender Scott Harrington back in their lineup tonight.

Harrington was at the World Under 17 Championships in Timmins, and was the lone player from Ontario selected for the All Star squad.

So, with Curtis Crombeen and assistant coach Jeff Reid also back from the U17 event, Owen Sound gets a tough challenge tonight against London who are in a dog fight with Kitchener for the MidWest Division title and the # 2 seed in the Western Conference.

Owen Sound starts the night 8th in the West, but with a continued run of success could bounce up to 5th by this time next week.
