After graduating from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in Toronto, Fred started in radio in 1982 at 1230 CKMP in Midland; a station which no longer exists. In December of 1984, Fred moved to Owen Sound & has been at 560 CFOS & Bayshore Broadcasting ever since.

In August 2023, Fred stepped away from his role on the CFOS Morning Show and as Bayshore’s Sports Director, but you will still hear him on the air and see him at any number of community events.
