Thurston Steps Down as Hospital President and CEO

He has been with Grey Bruce Health Services since 2014.

The President and CEO of the Grey Bruce Health Services says it is time for him to move on.

The hospital board announced that Lance Thurston is stepping down effective February 28th.

Thurston has been with GBHS as President and CEO since August 2014.

In a news release, Thurston will help the Board and staff with the transition.

During his 4-year tenure as President and CEO, Thurston oversaw the construction of the new emergency department at Saugeen Memorial Hospital and the new Oncology unit at Owen Sound Regional Hospital.
