Dufferin OPP are reminding riders to be safe and responsible as the 2025 snowmobile season gets underway.
Police are reminding riders to stay on marked trails and avoid trespassing on private property.
They say many of Dufferin County’s snowmobile trails cross through privately-owned lands as these landowners’ have allowed continued accessibility of these trails.
However, they say its important to respect their property and stick to the designated routes in order to help keep those valuable paths healthy for future generations.
The OPP are also emphasizing the important’s of “leave only tracks, not trash” telling riders to keep the trails free of litter.
