Orillia OPP have charged three drivers in three separate impaired driving investigations.
At around 2:30 the afternoon of December 20th, police were called to a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 400 in Oro-Medonte. The driver was charged with impaired operation after noticing signs of alcohol use. The driver was taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries and charged.
Later on at around 9 pm that evening, police were patrolling Colborne Street and found a vehicle without a front licence plate. During investigation, officers found that the driver was under the influence of alcohol, and then charged.
In the third case, just before 10 o’clock that evening, a vehicle was pulled over after a call from a concerned citizen about a possible impaired driver. Officers noticed signs of impairment, and the driver refused to exit the vehicle. After a brief struggle, the driver was placed under arrest and taken to the detachment for further testing.
All three accused have had their driver’s licences suspended for 90 days, as well as a vehicle impoundment for 7 days.
