Members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged three individuals with drug related charges.
Huronia West/Collingwood Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) initiated a drug trafficking investigation after numerous complaints from the public in relation to an address in Wasaga Beach. After several weeks of investigating CSCU were able to form grounds and identify the occupants of the residence suspected of selling cocaine and fentanyl.
On November 20, 2024, members from the Huronia West, Collingwood and Southern Georgian Bay CSCU teams executed a search warrant at the residence.
Investigators seized fentanyl, a sum of cash, two pellet guns, and paraphernalia related to drug trafficking. The three accused individuals were located inside the residence at the time of execution. They were arrested and charged for Possession for the Purpose of trafficking cocaine and fentanyl and were all released with a future court date.
