Owen Sound Police is looking for assistance locating the driver of a vehicle that fled the scene of a crash.
Police say on Friday around 11:40 p.m., emergency services responded to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of 2nd Avenue and 6th Street East in Owen Sound.
A white SUV had been travelling south on 2nd Avenue East trying to make a left turn onto 6th Street, which police say was directly in the path of a north bound vehicle.
Police say the impact resulted in significant damage to the front end of the north bound vehicle and set off its air bags. The 75-year-old female driver received minor injuries, which were treated before she was released.
The driver of the white SUV, however, fled the scene immediately before police arrived and without offering to assist the other driver.
Police are asking if there are any witnesses to the crash or dashcam or video footage of the incident or the SUV to call police at 519-376-1234.
