The Huntsville OPP detachment responded to 238 calls for service this past week.
CHARGED
On November 12, 2024 at 8:20 p.m., members of the Huntsville Detachment were dispatched to a single vehicle motor vehicle collision on Etwell Road. The investigation resulted in the driver being arrested and charged for impaired operation of Motor Vehicle.
A 45 year old from Etobicoke Ontario, has been charge with
· Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
· Refusal to comply with Demand. (breath sample)
· Drive motor vehicle – no license
The accused was suspended from driving for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
The accused is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge Ontario on December 31, 2024.
CHARGED
On November 13, 2024 Officers were dispatched to an address on Main Street West to reports a male yelling that he was going to “kill his girlfriend.” Officers arrived on scene to find a male yelling in his upstairs apartment. Officers formed reasonable grounds to arrest the male for mischief, uttering threats and breach of probation.
A 35 year old from Huntsville Ontario, has been charged with
· Uttering Threats – Cause death or Bodily Harm
· Fail to Comply with Probation Order
· Mischief – destroys or damages property
The accused was held for a Bail hearing and remanded into custody.
The accused is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge Ontario on November 18, 2024.
CHARGED
On November 14, 2024 at 9:21p.m., Officers were dispatched to an address on Susan Street to reports a male yelling that he was going to “kill his girlfriend.” The investigation revealed the accused was in violation of court order
A 40 year old from Huntsville Ontario, has been charged with
· Failure to comply with release order
· Fail to Comply with Probation Order
The accused was held for a Bail hearing and remanded into custody.
The accused is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge Ontario on November 18, 2024.
