The Township of Southgate is hosting an open house later this month for residents to provide their thoughts on community planning issues.
The open house is set for Nov. 28 at the Frank MacIntyre Building in Dundalk from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
It will address additional residential units like granny flats or basement suites, decks and accessory structures like detached garages, and changing the approval process for select types of planning applications from council to municipal staff.
Township Senior Manager of Planning and Development Ken Melanson is encouraging residents with an interest in these issues to come out and provide feedback.
“This open house is a great opportunity for all Southgate residents to help inform our staff team on these key issues,” says Melanson.
Those who are unable to attend the open house but would still like to share their feedback can email planning@southgate.ca by Nov. 27 or call the township at 519-923-2110.
