People in Grey Bruce were treated to a spectacular show of the Northern Lights late Monday night and early Tuesday morning.
They lit up the sky green and red, and were visible over parts of Grey Bruce. The red is considered to be more rare.

The Northern lights are caused by the interaction between streams of charged particles from the sun and earth’s magnetic field.
The US based National Oceanic And Atmospheric Administration posts an online forecast of where you can see them at any given time. It doesn’t look like they’ll be out in the same force tonight.
