Kincardine Council has approved an agreement to have KPMG as their auditor for a three-year contract.
The agreement will cost the municipality $165,180 over the three-year span, but the contract could be extended to a five-year maximum.
KPMG will be assigned to complete required external audit services for the municipality, its trust funds, and the Kincardine BIA.
The Municipality of Kincardine had put out a request for proposals starting in August.
The annual audit process will start in mid-October with an interim audit and will be completed by June 2025.
