Dufferin OPP have charged a local man with drug trafficking as a result of an ongoing investigation.
On Thursday, the Community Street Crime Units from Dufferin and Caledon, a K-9 Unit, and other OPP members executed a search warrant at an address on Madison Avenue in Orangeville.
As a result of the investigation the following was recovered:
– 62 grams of Cocaine
– 18 Hydromorphone Pills
– 4 grams Fentanyl
– 7 Acid Tabs
– 6 Morphine Pills
– 2.5 grams Methamphetamine
– 4.7 grams Psilocybin
– $3485.00 Canadian Currency
– 2 Tasers
– 1 Long Rifle 22 caliber
– 2 Cell Phones
A 35-year-old man from Orangeville has been charged with:
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
– Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Cocaine
– Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Methamphetamine
– Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Opioid
– Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Fentanyl
– Traffic in Schedule I substance- Cocaine
– Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
– Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of Trafficking (two counts)
He’s expected to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice to answer to the charges.
