At the September 9th Council meeting, Clearview Council approved a four-year collective agreement that the Township tentatively reached with Local 1217 of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) on August 29, 2024.
This Council decision comes after CUPE members ratified the agreement on September 4, 2024.
The collective agreement runs from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2028, and includes, a wage increase in the first year of 6.7 percent for some classifications and others that didn’t receive an adjustment an increase of three percent, a three percent increase in the second and third years and a 2.5 percent increase in the fourth year of the contract.
The Township says it recognizes and appreciates the dedication and hard work of valued municipal employees, whose contributions are integral to the services and programs that Clearview residents rely on.
