Meaford has appointed a new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).
Mayor Ross Kentner says as of Wednesday, Kymm Buckham assumed the role.
Clerk Matt Smith had been operating as the Interim CAO since Rob Armstrong left the municipality last year.
“Kymm was right under our nose” says Kentner. “Kymm Buckham has hit the ground running so I am very confident our council will achieve what I call our tactical projects.”
While having not worked for the municipality previously, Kentner says Buckham is a Meaford resident and has an extensive background in leadership and change management, as well as has a passion for community development.
She has worked in the private and public sectors and has a track record of fostering collaboration, guiding project management and driving operational excellence.
Kentner thanked Smith for stepping in the fill the role while the municipality conducted its search.
“Matt Smith is an invaluable member of our team, stepping into the role of Interim CAO with professionalism and dedication,” says Kentner.
