Bruce County has named Christine MacDonald as its new CAO.
She says that she’s excited to take over the role.
“I’m very excited about this appointment and the opportunity to serve the residents of Bruce County. And I do look forward to continued work with both council and staff.”
McDonald was named as the county’s deputy CAO back in March, as the first person to hold the position once it was created by the county.
“I know that the future is bright with us as we foster innovation and sustainable growth, and support the thriving communities that we have here in Bruce County.”
She takes over as Chief Administrative Officer when Derrick Thomson retires at the end of this year.
The pair will be working over the next several weeks to ensure a smooth transition.
