The Owen Sound Attack added three players to its prospect pool in the Ontario Hockey League’s under-18 priority selection Thursday night.
The Attack selected 6-foot-2, 194-pound defenceman Tristan Caldwell from the Nepean Raiders U18 program with their first-round, 11th overall pick.
Caldwell, 17, is a left-shot defenceman who had 14 points (2-12–14) in 30 games for Nepean in the 2021-22 season. He also suited up in a five games with the Ottawa West Golden Knights of the Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League and five games with the Nepean Raiders in the Central Canada Hockey League (Junior A).
Owen Davy, a 17-year-old goaltender from the Elgin Middlesex Chiefs program, was the Attack’s second round pick, 31st overall. Davy is listed at 6-foot, 174 pounds and had a 2.52 goals against average in 17 appearances with the Elgin Middlesex Chiefs U18 AAA team in 2021-22.
The Attack also picked 17-year-old Jacob Strizzi from the Toronto Jr Canadiens with the 48th pick.
Saginaw had the No. 1 pick in the U18 priority selection and took 16-year-old forward Lincoln Moore, who had 37 points (18-19–37) in 24 games for the Soo Greyhounds U18 AAA team during the 2021-22 GNML season.
