Here’s the Weekend Grab Bag
The Olympics conclude this weekend with Canada hoping to hit the projected medal total of 26.
Big weekend at Sauble Speedway with the Canadian Snowcross Royal Distributing Cup set to go tomorrow through holiday Monday.
The NBA All Star Break is underway
From a Raptors standpoint, Toronto hits the break on a decent run having won 9 of their last 11 and remaining in contention in the congested Eastern Conference.
The Raptors are off until next Friday
Pitchers and Catchers were supposed to report in Major League Baseball this week….but that didn’t happen. So once again, it appears the never ending financial tug of war between Major League Players and those who pay them will continue and impact the natural progression of the year.
We’ve got a variety of Senior Hockey Playoff action of note tonight;
At The Plex in Port Elgin, the Saugeen Shores Winterhawks host Tavistock, with the best of 7 tied 2-2
The Durham Thundercats will try and stay alive in their series when they visit Seaforth tonight
And the Shallow Lake Crushers look to square their series with Lucknow tonight in Shallow Lake
One final note,the Attack host Sault Ste Marie tomorrow night with 50 % fan capacity
The game that was set for Sunday against Kitchener will be played later
Plus, the Attack will be in Guelph on Monday afternoon to meet the Storm
Have a great Family Day Weekend
