A special celebration was held at Chapman House recently, reuniting a rescue dog with its owner.
Through the support of Adopt-a-pet Rescue and Residential Hospice Grey Bruce, a visit was arranged between the canine Ruby and her companion Eddy, who had to surrender the dog when he moved into hospice.
During the visit, various partners contributed and made sure Ruby and Eddy were able to enjoy some cold, sweet treats during their time together.
More visits have been arranged, and arelease notes it was evident both were delighted to see each other.
Eddy said repeatedly, “my girl, my good girl” as Ruby sat a top Eddy on his bed.
Residential Hospice of Grey Bruce says these types of events are not uncommon at Chapman House and these moments are welcomed and encouraged.
The full video of this reunion can be found on the Hospice’s Facebook page.
