The Chi-Cheemaun will set sail next week and begin its 2021 ferry service between Tobermory and Manitoulin Island.
The Owen Sound Transportation Company says in a statement the service will begin on June 8, with a 9 a.m. departure from Tobermory.
The MS Chi-Cheemaun ferry was originally set to launch its season this year on May 7, but that date was pushed back while the provincial stay-at-home order was in place.
For passengers riding the ferry, Covid-19 mitigation measures remain in place. Some of those include Covid screening prior to boarding, wearing a mask for the crossing and maintaining distance from others.
