A propane explosion at a farm in Grey Highlands has sent three residents to the hospital.
Grey Highlands Fire Department confirms the fire occurred Tuesday (April 13th) morning on Grey Road 12 outside of a barn where a propane tank exploded.
Two people were sent to the London Burn Centre, and a third person to a local hospital for what Grey Highlands Fire Chief Marty Wellwood describes as significant third degree burns.
The Fire Department and other emergency services were on the scene around 8:45 a.m. Tuesday.
Wellwood says the damage was minimal except to a tractor trailer.
According to Wellwood, there was a small fire outside the barn following the explosion.
The damage to the tractor trailer is estimated at around $2,000.
The cause of the explosion is under investigation.
