The Royal Canadian Legion (147) in Barrie is getting some financial support from the federal government.
MP Doug Shipley, Member of Parliament for Barrie-Springwater-OroMedonte, has announced $10,845.04 in funding from the Government of Canada to support the branch.
It will assist the Barrie Legion with its operational costs so it can continue providing important support for Veterans.
“The Government answered our call for funds to assist the Barrie Legion and like most Legions during this
pandemic, our survival depends on it. This economic boast will help us to get through the short term,” said
President Marcel Vigneault, Royal Canadian Legion, Barrie Branch #147.
