Ship enthusiasts may find it interesting to know the Algoma Compass is set to dock in the Owen Sound harbour for the season sometime today.
According to vesselfinder.com, it’s sailing at a speed of 12.5 knots and expected to arrive in the city about 6 p.m.
The Algoma Compass is a self-unloading bulk carrier lake freighter that was built in Toledo, Ohio in 1973 for the American Steamship Company.
It is now owned by the Algoma Central Corp. of St. Catharines.
