In an update late Monday morning, Owen Sound police said the investigation stems from an incident at a west side residence.
Police were called there at about 4 Sunday afternoon. They say a man left the residence in a vehicle just before officers arrived. They pursued him and say they tried a number of times to stop him, but ended the pursuit in the interest of safety.
OPP continued the search outside the city, leading to one person’s arrest.
Owen Sound police say the arrest is part of a larger ongoing investigation.
They say there is still a police presence at a west side apartment building as the investigation continues.
