The Township of Georgian Bluffs is closing the Keppel Sarawak Townline bridge this week for repairs.
This comes after a structural load evaluation by Pearson Engineering Ltd. found significant deterioration of the bridge deck and guiderails.
After reviewing options, council approved a short-term rehabilitation plan which includes deck and guiderail repairs, installing trailside access gates, and improving signage.
As a result, the bridge will be closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic starting March 31 until repairs are completed.
