The City of Owen Sound has released its report on the salaries and expenses of the mayor and council for 2024.
Ian Boddy earned $58,780 for his work as the city’s mayor. While Deputy Mayor Scott Greig was paid just over $30,300. The mayor and deputy mayor also received additional compensation from Grey County for their duties as county councillors.
The salary of all other Owen Sound councillors last year was $26,572.
For expenses, Mayor Boddy had the highest bill covered by city taxpayers: $11,896.
Coun. Brock Hamley had the lowest expenses number, $66.17.
