Five to ten millimetres of freezing rain is forecasted for this weekend, and up to 25mm of rain is a possibility.
Ice buildup could cause power outages and slippery road conditions.
The heaviest rainfall is expected today, according to Environment Canada, which warns that the freezing rain may last into Sunday morning.
