Grey Bruce OPP have arrested two people in relation to a robbery investigation in Georgian Bluffs.
Police say it happened back on August 25th, 2024.
They say at 7:30 that evening, OPP received a report of a robbery at a business on Highway 6&21 in Georgian Bluffs.
They say a security guard confronted the suspects as they allegedly stole items totalling less than $5,000. OPP say, as the security guard and a manager were trying to stop the theft from occurring, they were both assaulted. The suspects left the area.
According to OPP, the suspects also caused about $200 damage to the store.
On March 20th a 17-year-old from Scarborough was arrested and charged with two counts of robbery with violence, and two counts of assault with a weapon.
A 15-year-old from Scarborough has been arrested and charged with robbery with violence and assault with a weapon.
Both accused individuals have been held pending a bail hearing.
The youths’ identities are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
OPP say one person remains outstanding in relation to the occurrence.
