Grey Bruce OPP say they have arrested a suspect in a Meaford LCBO theft, and they’re due in court this week.
Police say back on January 8th, they responded to a theft complaint at the LCBO in Meaford, where an unknown individual entered the business and stole over $1,000 worth of alcohol.
OPP are thanking the community for the tips they received. As a result, they say on March 11th they arrested a 24 year old from Brampton and charged them with theft under $5000 – shoplifting, possession property obtained by crime under $5000, breach of recognizance, fail to comply with probation order (two counts).
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on March 27th, 2025.
