The Town of Bracebridge is committed to supporting local businesses during a challenging time in response to the recent tariffs imposed by the United States on Canadian goods. Partners from across Muskoka have come together to create an online tariff information hub to support local businesses. To enhance this support, the Town of Bracebridge will be engaging with local businesses through a business retention and expansion (BR&E) visitation plan.
Through this initiative, the Economic Development branch in collaboration with Mayor Maloney, members of Council, and representatives from the Downtown Bracebridge Business Improvement Area (BIA) and Bracebridge Chamber of Commerce, will form a BR&E outreach team to meet with local businesses to gather insights on how they are being affected. Through personalized engagement, the Town will share available resources to help businesses navigate tariff challenges and better understand the direct and indirect impacts tariffs will have locally.
The BR&E outreach team will be connecting with local businesses to schedule appointments. If you are interested in providing your feedback, email ecdev@bracebridge.ca.
“The Town of Bracebridge is committed to supporting our local business community through these economic challenges. By engaging directly with businesses, we aim to better understand their needs and connect them with the resources necessary to sustain and grow their operations,” says Rick Maloney, Mayor, Town of Bracebridge.
