OPP say the ‘active incident’ in Neyaashiingmiing has concluded.
There was a hold in secure and shelter in place today, which has now been lifted.
Police say they have taken one individual into custody and that updates on charges will follow.
Earlier today, OPP were asking people in Neyaashiingmiing to remain indoors as officers respond to some sort of “active incident” in the area of Farm Road in the First Nation community.
Police hadn’t released much more information about what was going on, but had asked residents to remain indoors, avoid leaving their homes and to ensure all doors and windows were locked.
