On March 16th, during a 1:45 p.m. count, staff members in the minimum-security unit at Beaver Creek Institution discovered that two inmates, Rodney Cobb and Jeffry Parker were not accounted for.
The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) immediately contacted the Ontario Provincial Police, and a warrant for the inmates’ arrests was issued.
At around 2:50 p.m., they were apprehended by police. CSC will investigate the circumstances of this incident.
