Meaford is supporting the draft plan for a proposed subdivision.
Council approved supporting a recommendation to Grey County to grant draft plan approval for the proposed subdivision at 412 Miller Street during a meeting on Monday.
While the county is the approval authority for subdivisions, local councils are asked to provide a recommendation to the county ahead of making a decision.
This is the latest after council approved a zoning by-law amendment for the proposed subdivision in April last year.
Following the zoning approval, a third party appealed the decision to the Ontario Land Tribunal, in which the tribunal determined the party did not have appeal rights.
The proposed subdivision would include more than 120 units, with a mix of single detached, semi-detached and townhouses. It would also include a public park, stormwater management facility, a public road, road widening, and daylight triangles.
