Martin Misiak scored his second of the game 1:04 into overtime as the Erie Otters rallied from an early 2-0 deficit to knock off the Owen Sound Attack 4-3 in Ontario Hockey League action Wednesday evening at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.
Sam Alfano and Wesley Royston also scored for Erie (23-17-3-1), which never led until the game went final.
Pierce Mbuyi scored twice and Cole Zurawski had a goal for the Attack (14-26-3-3).
The Attack led 2-0 after the first, before Erie answered with a pair in the second. Owen Sound retook the lead just 38 second into the third on Mbuyi’s second of the game. But Royston would tie it at 5:56.
Noah Erliden made 24 saves in the win, while Matthew Koprowski stopped 42 taking the loss. The Otters outshot the Attack 46-27 while going 1 for 4 on the power play; Owen Sound finished 2 for 6.
Next up for the Attack is back-to-back home games Saturday and Sunday at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre against the Ottawa 67’s (15-22-3-5) and Brampton Steelheads (19-7-8).
Saturday’s game is at 4 p.m., and it’s a 2 p.m. puck drop Sunday.
