More wintry weather is expected in Bruce and Grey counties over the next couple of days.
Environment Canada has issued snow squall and wind warnings for the region, as strong winds gusting up to 90 kilometres an hour are expected to kick up blowing snow throughout the day Monday.
Later on, flurries and snow squalls are expected and forecasters say anywhere from 10-20 centimetres could be on the ground by tomorrow morning.
“Conditions will deteriorate late this afternoon into this evening as flurries become heavy at times in advance of a strong cold front. Strong wind gusts in combination with heavy flurries will result in significantly reduced visibility,” Environment Canada says in its squall warning. “Conditions may be particularly dangerous as a sharp cold front moves through this evening which could produce near zero visibility in bursts of heavy snow and blowing snow along with a sharp temperature drop. Winds will gradually decrease through tonight.”
Environment Canada says the snow squalls expected later today should weaken by tomorrow morning, but the forecast still calls for another 5-10 centimetres of snow on Tuesday.
