Four people have been charged following an investigation into the kidnapping of an Orillia man.
On January 12th, Orillia OPP were called to a disturbance on the Rail Trail off James Street West. Witnesses reported hearing a voice call for help.
When police arrived, they were able to locate a man who had been placed in a plastic box, bound with rope. The man showed signs of being recently assaulted. He was then taken to hospital, and later transported to Toronto for further medical treatment.
Four people are facing multiple charges, including kidnapping, aggravated assault, and forcible confinement. They were all held for bail hearings.
