An Elmvale man who was wanted by police has been captured following a drug bust in Midland.
The 49-year-old was charged with two counts of possession of an opioid for the purpose of trafficking, as well as possession of other drugs.
Just after 10:30 am on Friday morning, a Southern Georgian Bay OPP officer saw a cab on King Street in Midland with a passenger onboard who was known to be wanted by police.
A traffic stop was conducted, and the man was found to be in possession of suspected blue fentanyl, gold fentanyl, and oxycodone, as well as a quantity of cash and paraphernalia.
He’s expected in court at a future date.
