Fundraising walks to combat homelessness are running in three towns across Huron County.
The United Way of Perth-Huron’s “Coldest Night of the Year” returns February 22nd, looking to raise $135 thousand.
Money raised during the annual walk will fund programs such as shelter for women, children and youth, emergency shelter during the cold months, transitional housing for men and housing support.
The initiative raised over $200 thousand in 2024.
In the 2025 edition, three Huron County towns are involved, supporting three initiatives:
Goderich: Huron Homelessness Initiative
Exeter: Southern Huron Connection Centre
Wingham: Northern Huron Connection Centre
