Bruce County Council has officially adopted their budget for 2025.
The budget received approval during their meeting on January 9th, with the associated by-law being approved on January 23rd.
The total budget for the county for this year includes total expenditures of $191,109,606, and estimates that revenues collected from property tax levies is $71,820,742.
The 2025 budget will have a tax levy increase of 4.92%. That translates to an average of $59 per household.
Previously, Warden Luke Charbonneau expressed that he was please with the budget as presented by county staff, saying that staff and council had done a good job of coming up with a restrained budget.
