Huron County led the charge in the number of Festive R.I.D.E. stops conducted over the holidays.
The 2024-25 Festive RIDE campaign ran between November 21, 2024, and January 1, 2025.
238 R.I.D.E checks were conducted during that time in Huron County, leading all 13 detachments in the OPP’s Western Region.
That was followed by 222 R.I.D.E stops in Essex County, and 207 in Middlesex County.
During those stops, Huron County OPP laid twenty impaired driving charges, fewer than the 26 laid during the previous year’s Festive R.I.D.E. campaign.
