Grey Bruce OPP say two people have been charged following the death of an infant in Saugeen First Nation.
Police say on March 26, 2023, officers, along with Bruce County Paramedic Services and the Saugeen First Nation Fire Department responded to a call regarding an unresponsive infant at a home on Scotch Settlement Road.
OPP say the nine-month-old infant was transported to hospital and pronounced dead.
As a result, police say a 33-year-old from Saugeen Shores and 28-year-old from Saugeen First Nation were charged with criminal negligence causing death.
The accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing today in Walkerton.
