Mayors across Grey Bruce are inviting people to attend their annual levee events.
The levee is a new year’s tradition in which the mayor reflects on the past year and looks ahead to 2025.
Meaford Mayor Ross Kentner is holding his levee on Jan. 5 from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Major General Richard Rohmer Meaford International Airport on Highway 26.
The Georgian Bluffs levee with Mayor Sue Carleton will be held on Jan. 5 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Shallow Lake Community Centre. The event will feature free skating and refreshments.
“We look forward to welcoming everyone to kick off 2025 together,” says Carleton.
The Grey Highlands levee with Mayor Paul McQueen today is cancelled due to the weather.
Southgate’s levee with Mayor Brian Milne will be on Jan. 4 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Dundalk Arena and will feature a skating party and refreshments.
“One of the greatest privileges as mayor is getting to interact with Southgate residents from all walks of life. I look forward to hosting the 2025 Mayor’s Levee, and getting to meet with so many residents in a relaxed and fun setting, ” says Milne.
