The health of Huron County firefighters will be at the centre of an upcoming seminar.
The county’s Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health is hosting an online seminar Tuesday to discuss promoting the health and well-being of volunteer firefighters.
Associate Professor from the University of Waterloo, Dr. Mike Beazely, will make several recommendations to improve the health of area firefighters.
Among the recommendations will be:
- Improving Cardiovascular Health Awareness
- Offering Comprehensive Medical Screenings
- Providing Resources For Overall Health Risks
- Strengthening Collaboration with Local Stakeholders
The seminar runs Tuesday from Noon to 1:00 p.m.
