The Owen Sound Attack closed out 2024 with a win.
Trenten Bennett made 37 saves for his first Ontario Hockey League shutout as the Attack ended a four-game losing streak by beating the Guelph Storm 1-0 Monday evening at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.
Masen Wray had the lone goal for the Attack (10-20-2-3), his first with the team since coming over in a trade with the Niagara Ice Dogs earlier this month.
Wray blasted a one-time shot past Colin Ellsworth with 1:26 remaining in the second period, just after an Owen Sound power play ended.
Next up for the Attack is a road game in Oshawa on New Year’s Day. It’s a 2:05 p.m. start. You can hear all the action live on 560 CFOS on Kia of Owen Sound-Terry’s Trailer Service Bear Radio.
