Huronia West OPP have charged a 78-year-old woman with impaired driving after a Christmas Eve traffic stop.
Police had received reports of a vehicle driving in the oncoming lane of traffic before hitting the snowbank on River Road West in Wasaga Beach.
Officers stopped the vehicle at around 9 that evening, and immediately started an impaired driving investigation. The driver has been charged with driving while impaired over 80.
She’s expected in court at a later date, but has had her licence suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle impounded for 7 days.
