OSHaRE is ready to serve up holiday lunch to those who need it this Christmas.
On December 24th, they’ll be hosting the SOS Christmas Market from 1-3 at their location on 3rd Avenue East — and will be serving pizza.
Executive Director Colleen Trask-Seaman says the organization is happy to help.
“We’re just so thankful that we’re able to be here for anyone in our community who needs a meal, and a friendly smile, and someone who cares.”
On Christmas Day, they’ll have turkey dinner, with all the sides, available from 12-1 pm.
They’ll also have Christmas packages to everyone who attends.
Next week, they’ll be serving up a New Years dinner with the Salvation Army, which will include ham and scalloped potatoes.
She says that everything OSHaRE does is a community effort.
“Every meal served at OSHaRE is from the community, because we don’t receive government support, so every meal is from donation, which is incredible.”
Trask-Seaman says that they’re also fortunate to have secured all of their volunteers before the holiday rush, and they’re happy to have a range of people helping out, from high school students to seniors.
